AUDIRVANA PLUS can play most PCM Formats

DISCOVER THE FEATURES OF PCM FILES FORMAT AND HOW AUDIRVANA PLUS HANDLES THIS FORMAT

What are PCM Formats ?

Pulse Code Modification (or PCM) is a technique for sampling a digital signal into an analog signal. The analog signal is first sampled, then each sample is quantified independently of the other samples, and each of the quantized values is converted into a numerical code.
During the analog -> digital conversion process of a sound wave, two elements play a major role:

  • Sampling rate (in kHz)
  • Bit depth (in bits)

A high-definition file results in a very high sampling rate and bit depth with a high number of bits.
Audirvana Plus allows you to play all these PCM audio file formats in order to have the sound reproduction closest to the original audio signal.
