Before installing a VST3 plugin, make sure it can be in 64-bit version so that it can be used in Audirvana.

When installing one or more VST3 plugins, please close Audirvana.

How to install a VST3 plugin and use it in Audirvana?

    • When installing the plugin, simply click on next until you reach the step of selecting the plugin version and select the 64-bit VST3 version of the plugin (3). You can then click on next until the installation is complete.
    • Start Audirvana and then go to the settings of your audio system (4 and 5).
    • In the “Audio Signal Processing” section, you must activate the VST3 plugins, then you can select your plugin (6) and configure it (7). You can enable the real-time control option to configure your plugin while listening (8 and 9). We recommend that you use this mode to set your correction and then disable this option to get the best possible rendering quality.

    The standard for plugins on MacOS is the Audio Unit (AU).

     

    How to install an AU plugin and use it in Audirvana for MacOS?

      • When installing the plugin, simply click on next until the installation is complete.

       

      • Start Audirvana and go to your audio system settings (3 and 4).
      • In the “Audio Signal Processing” section, you must activate the Audio Unit plugins, you can then select your plugin (5), if you do not see your plugin in the list a restart of your Mac will be necessary.

       

      • You can configure your plugin without listening to music (6).

       

      • You can also enable the real-time control option to configure your plugin while listening (7 and 8). We recommend that you use this mode to set your correction and then disable this option to get the best possible rendering quality.
